What is this? (unknown plants and bugs)

Now begins the catalogue of everything I don't know (everything in relation to gardening, that I've noticed this year, and have had time to photograph, and upload...allow me some limits). Can you help me identify these Hyde Park critters and plants? Leave a comment if you can!

A bug on my lettuce. Looks like a neon tetra, to me...but that's an aquarium fish, not a bug, so...any thoughts?
